Hi Joey. You obviously know proper song structure, and you’ve written a well laid out song. Also, I feel the emotion expressed in your lyrics and the feel of the whole song. That said, our business is driven by hit songs and this doesn’t feel like a hit to me. The melodies are pretty good but especially in the hook the melodies and lyrics m don’t stick with me or make me want to hear or sing them again and again. Also, the production is OK,it has the 80s feel I think you were going for, but it could have better sounds and level up. I know that writing and signing are therapeutic for you, so my advice is to keep working at your craft of songwriting to make everything more catchy and more memorable.
