Ken Komisar currently serves as the President NHMM – (Notting Hill Music Masters & Notting Hill Music Management) the record label & management companies set up under the Notting Hill Music Group umbrella, including one of the world’s leading music publishers for the past quarter of a century. Designed for the streaming age, but with a continuing focus on the best of traditional media outlets, under Ken’s guidance, NHMM has, with its initial releases, garnered tens of millions of streams, 3 UK Top 10 Club hits, Billboard Top 40 radio single and radio playlists from key stations such as Hits 1, BPM, The Highway, Alt Nation, BBC Radio 2, Radio Disney, Pitbull’s Globalization and Radio Disney Country, and more. “Our artists have enjoyed dozens of live TV appearances in major markets. Ken is a dedicated, versatile and driven executive who draws from his years’ of experience working inside labels and alongside some of the biggest artists including Michael Jackson at MJJ Music & Justin Timberlake Tennman RecordsAs a creative executive, Ken has been deeply committed to discovering and developing the careers of diverse artists from every genre, and is holistically competent across all facets of this complex business. That, coupled with his innate ability to build relationships, gives him unique positioning in the entertainment industry.​

Ken’s extensive and far-reaching global and domestic knowledge and contact base in the record business is unsurpassed. Ken’s three decade career includes; Sixteen years’ at Sony Music where he held positions of increasing responsibility including the aforementioned 5 year tenure as General Manager of Michael Jackson’s MJJ label. There he served as an Executive Producer along with Michael Jackson and had oversight in the labels, marketing, promotion and touring for both domestic and international releases including, Brownstone, Tatyana Ali and Jackson family progeny 3T and more.

After his time with MJJ – he was recruited by then Sony Music Chairman, Tommy Mottola, as a VP of A&R and was responsible for working on a wide range of talent and helping senior management at Columbia, Epic and Sony Urban – A&R numerous projects of established artists. Projects included working with JLO, Ricky Martin and Mark Anthony as well as artist driven TV programs from VH1! Divas to Oprah’s “Pop Star Challenge.”

He spent his early years at Sony identifying diversified of talent from underground dancehall artist Shabba Ranks to the iconic punk band Suicidal Tendencies and its alter ego Infectious Grooves to American Jazz duo Tuck & Patti to the rebirth of the children’s property The Chipmunks’ with a Country influenced album “Friends in Low Places” as well as Sly & the Family Stone’s creative duets project too re-partnering with Eazy-E & Dr.Dre on a Ruthless Records imprint to highly influential dance artist Lil Louis.​

His first label job was at Atlantic Records where he started in A&R and after signing a slew of successful artists was given control of Dance and Singles Dept – his signings included International Superstar Donna Summers to Dr. Dre protégé The DOC and JJ Fad to legendary Chicago House DJ/Producer Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley to club culture classics Stacey Q, Doug Lazy & Company B!​

Always the artist’s advocate, Ken left Sony in the beginning of 2006, and was immediately approached by super manager David Sonenberg (Black Eyed Peas, John Legend to the Fugees and Meatloaf) to join him at DAS Communications, LTD., where Komisar brought his then fledgling roster of management clients – including Reeve Carney (Carney, HadesTown, Spiderman – Turn out the Lights, Penny Dreadful) & Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee, True Jackson VP) to become the firm’s West Coast face – working with BEPs, Natasha Bedingfield and Fergie.​

During this time Ken joined forces with Justin Timberlake and formed Tennman Records – where as President he worked closely with the Chairman and CEO “JT” on mentoring four promising artists including the first YouTube sensation Esmee Denters, who from her bedroom web camera in Osterbeek, NL to become the # 1 watched female musician in the early days of YouTube. Other artists included Matt Morris – a fellow Mouseketeer, who, as part of the “Elite 11” and went on to write hits for Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera and Cher, to the 2007 My Grammy Moment runner-up Brenda Radney and Memphis hip-hop rock band, FreeSol.​

Ken continues to run Laundry Room Productions, LLC as a consulting, management & development company that allows him to continue to build unique connections, ‘renting’ his lateral-thinking brain and ‘phone book’ to consult for a diverse set of companies, artists and brands. He’s continued to work on music related projects for the Michael Jackson Estate, the NFL & GMR Marketing and OmniCom as well as placing music in film & TV utilizing his relationships.
