I like the 80s feel of the track and the chordal structure is solid. There are three elements that are not strong enough and need work. First of all the vocals are thin and so vocal lessons or at least work on proper breathing is needed. Secondly the lyrics mostly make sense and tell a story but they are not compelling and urgent. And third the chorus melody is pretty good but that’s always the most important element and needs to be great. Keep going. This feels like a Weeknd song that’s not quite strong enough.
